Completed Chuck Close
So finally; it is done. It was the most time consuming thing I have ever done; but in the end, I really love how it turned out. I wish I had more time to work on it; but it doesn't look awful so I won't complain too much. The weird spot on my chin makes me upset; I don't know how that slipped my mind to not fix it. In the end it only seemed like it took 4 years and 26 days. It isn't all that pretty looking at it too close up; but from far back it really resembles the picture. The eyes are my favorite part. They were the hardest; but they ended up looking the most realistic. It is crazy how something that starts off looking like it did in my below post; could end up looking like it does now. The only think going through my mind when I started this is "What have I gotten myself into now?". In the end; I am glad I got myself in to this one. haha. By far my favorite art project I have ever done. Which is saying something seeing as I have been in art since Pre-Pre-Kindergarten. Thats 13 years of art and 2 summers in art programs. So yes; this painting is big for me. haha. It is an art breakthrough that I needed. Yeah; way to get off topic. So yes, this art project is by far my favorite. That is really all I have to say for right now.

By far, the best written reflection I have seen. Thanks.
OMG!! i really liked how yours turned out... it really looks like you :) Good Job!
I like the way you emphasized the eyes. Sometimes, if you have a person for your subject matter, it's great to have and to emphasize direct eye contact with your audience through your art pieces.
