Ok, this is my product for the Synthetic Cubism assignment. I used random news paper articles (thank you Brandt's random newspaper cabinet), tissue paper (thank you mom), and acrylic (thank you Otto Rohm). I watered down the green paint a lot to give it a different look that almost could look marble-ish from far away. I used my own guitar for this assignment to make it a little more personal. I went with the stringed instrument to keep it with what Picasso and Braque had started. I took a slight turn to last year in Art III with the "one word" influence. I didn't want the paper to be full of just newspaper articles, so I added the word "beauty" to it for added expression. I did a basic outline on the guitar just to give it some rhyme and reason. In all, I love how this piece turned out.
