Wizard of Oz -

This is my piece for the Wizard of Oz play. I was inspired by old circus posters and some modern day band tour posters for this piece. The old circus posters never really used images, but always got your attention with the font changes and sizes of the font. That was my goal in this piece. The color scheme was actually a long drawn out process. I asked around 30 people what colors came to mind when they thought of The Wizard of Oz. The general consensus was red, green, yellow, and blue. I eliminated blue due to my inability to make it fit in with the rest of the poster. After I had my color scheme I just had to work on my fonts and the general layout. Photoshop for me was the perfect design tool, if I had to do this by hand, it most likely would be a never ending process. I do like this piece a lot. It catches your eye, and that in all was the main goal.

Great job with this. I'm curious if you're going to incorporate this circus theme into future works or if you are going to do a survey of different themes.
